April Recording Trip - March 29, 2010

Jim Miller will visit the Glades at the end of April to record natural sounds at the end of the wet season. When the Glades naturally dry up between November and April, the water that is present tends to accumulate in sloughs or gator holes (dug out by gators to pool the available water into shallow pools). Fish and birds then congregate around the sloughs and gator holes -this concentration presents an excellent opportunity to get close to large numbers of birds.
