- Tropical Audubon
- The Everglades is one of the best birdwatching sites in the world. Tropical Audubon has a Birdboard that lists up- to- the- moment sightings of birds in South Florida(including the location of the birds if you want to see them). A fun site that I always check out before I go into the Glades. Jim Miller
- Everglades National Park Website
- Before you go to Everglades National Park, you should check out the Park's Website. There are 3 entrances to the Park- the main entrance west of Homestead and Florida City, The Shark Valley entrance on the Tamiami Trail west of Miami and at Everglades City at the western portion of the Park south of Naples. You will not see the entire ecosystem unless you visit all 3 entrances. If you go to the Everglades City entrance you will travel through the Big Cypress National Preserve. The Preserve is a wonderful place to visit, especially the Loop Road. Check out www.nps.gov/bicy/index.htm.
